I know, you think this is some kind of harebrained scheme, or maybe I am going to convince you to buy into a timeshare in the next few hours. But rest assured, I think it is possible today to take little weekend or holiday breaks and not have to go out of pocket by any means.
First, you have relatives. Unless you are an orphan, you likely have relatives living in different parts of the world. One way to have a holiday break is to go stay with them for a while – the longer the better, depending on how much they make annually. Go ahead and ask to make sure.
If you are going to crash at relatives’ houses, be sure to not bring anything. They should have everything you need, including clothes and spending cash for a couple nice nights out here and there. Eat as much as you can, because most people like to feel appreciated.
If you don’t have any relatives, you can go on vacation and not pay for it by complaining a lot about everything that happens to you. For instance, on the way to the airport, tell the cab driver he drove too fast, and he rustled your things so you won’t pay. Most cabbies are really small, so they scare easily.
Now that you know how to take vacation without paying for it, you should invite some friends along so they can meet your family and live with them for a while. Nothing says “I love you” like a stranger expecting an allowance every week.
